Veteran comedian and AIADMK Deputy Propaganda Secretary S S Chandran passed away at Mannargudi on Friday (October 8) night following heart attack. He was 69. SS Chandran is survived by wife, daughter and two sons. SS Chandran has acted in more than 800 films and in later part of his live he was an active politician serving for AIADMK. He also served as a Rajya Sabha MP from 2001-07.
The mortal remains of SS Chandran was brought to Chennai this morning and was kept at his residence for public to pay their last respect.AIADMK supreme J Jayalalitha was one of the first to arrive to pay homage to the veteran actor. Some others who were among the first to pay last respects to SS Chandran were Actors Ramarajan, Vivek, Anandaraj and KT Kunjumon.
