I have always lead the good life because of the confidence that I have had in me right from my childhood. I would be enthusiastic about activities and looked forward to doing things without any .

If my mind was set, I knew I would do it, come what may. That ways I have learned to take life in my stride and accept the ups and downs. I never get unfazed. It is this quality that has made me enjoy life with all its twist and turns. I approach life with a lot of positivity. I was overweight as a kid but I always thought that I was the best girl in the whole wide world. Whatever I have achieved in life so far is because of this attitude and I’m very proud of myself.

I have slogged it out to reach wherever I am today. I make sure that I’m constantly looking to improve myself as a human being and as an actor. I think one should just look at improving oneself instead of trying to ape others or finding faults with others. I was and will not be like that ever.

I try to make the most in hand and enjoy situations that I am in and that includes work during hectic schedules. I chose to become an actor and imagine if I didn’t enjoy being one, I just wouldn’t be as happy. Such is the case with life. Be who you want to be and it will bring you happiness.

Asin Looking To Do More Work In Bollywood

Asin Thottumkal turns 25 and for people who have been wagging their tongues saying that the South Indian actress is too choosy when it comes to signing a Bollywood movie which is why she has only done three films so far, we have news for you.

"I am looking to do more work in Bollywood, maybe get a little less choosy," Asin shoots.

"I have Ready, which will release next year and I’m reading quite a few interesting scripts. It’s been almost two years in Bollywood and I want to do more projects here. I want to concentrate on the industry here in a big way and I have my plans.

The selection of movies will certainly depend on how I have been choosing my movies so far which means the script and the character that I’m being approached to play will be the foremost focus for me but I will be less choosy for sure," says the sassy star, who landed in Bollywood like a meteor with Ghajini but saw her second movie London Dreams tank at the box office.

Asin is also in for a big surprise bash in Mumbai on her birthday as her friends from US, UK and Australia have all landed up in the city to ring in her birthday. "It’s such a pleasant surprise. I don’t know what’s in store for me but with them around I know that it will be a lot of fun.

They actually coordinated their schedules to be in Mumbai for my birthday. That’s really touched me. For me birthdays are generally low key. I like celebrating them with my family and close people. But this year I think it will be crazy," she ends.

Tamil Organisation Has Blamed Asin

Asin’s infamous Sri Lankan trip is still making her life miserable. ‘May 17 Movement’, a pro-Tamil organisation has blamed her for blinding people through the eye camps she sponsored in the war torn region of Jaffna.

The organization has said that ten people became totally blind after receiving treatment in camps organised by Asin and asked her to stop associating herself with activities in the island country hiding under philanthropic cover.

The ‘May 17 Movement’ says it further suspects the motives of Asin in organising such an eye camp in collaboration with the Sri Lankan government. It again asked Asin to explain how and why she was given special access to areas which are forbidden for international NGOs and even the United Nations.

Asin visited Sri Lanka for the shooting of her Hindi film with Salman Khan. She extended her stay in the island even after the shooting was over and has become very close to Mahinda Rajapakse’s family. Ever since her visit; the actress has been inviting disapprovals from Tamil community around the world.

The Tamil organizations have already called for a boycott of her films. Her only Tamil film ‘Kavalan’ is also facing troubles at its shooting spots for having Asin in it. Only time will tell how Asin deals with the issue.

Asin A Big Fan Of Malayalam Director

Pretty lass Asin, who has captured the hearts of many, has recently revealed to a leading daily that she is a big fan of director Siddique.

Apparently, Asin is making a comeback in Kollywood with Siddique’s Kaavalan opposite Vijay. The film is a remake of Malayalam hit Bodyguard, starring Nayantara and Dileep.

The actress is also extremely delighted to team up with Vijay for the third time after Pokkiri and Sivakasi.

Asin Thottumkal Actress Malayalam born 26 October 1985, known mononymously as Asin is an Indian film actress and a model. Making her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with Amma Nanna Tamila Ammayi in 2003, and won a Filmfare Award for the Best Telugu Actress for the film. After a number of films, she received her second South Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her performance in her second Tamil film, Ghajini (2005). Asin's New Bollywood Projects

Asin is making her presence felt in Kollywood as well as Bollywood. The actress from Kerala, who is currently acting with Vijay in ‘Kavalan’, has signed two new Bollywood projects, which would take off soon.

“Yes, I have been roped in for two more Hindi movies for which shooting would commence in early 2011. Both are with hot and happening stars of the industry. Sorry, I can’t reveal anything more”, says the ‘Ghajini’ actress.

In the meantime, Asin has been signed by a popular soap brand, which would normally choose top actresses as its brand ambassadors. “I guess I have bagged the prestigious assignment thanks to my pan Indian appeal”, she feels.

Asin adds: “Having acted in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam movies, my face is well known to audiences in all these parts. But I would like to clarify that I don’t see any differences and I am proud to say I act in Indian film industry”.
